Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Compliance

Dafont is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have implemented procedures for the receipt of written notification of claimed infringements and for processing such claims.

Reporting Copyright Infringements

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on Dafont in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our designated DMCA Agent with the following information:

  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
  3. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with our DMCA Agent. To be effective, a counter-notification must be a written communication provided to our DMCA Agent that includes the following:

  1. Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Dafont may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of such person.
  4. Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a counter-notification, Dafont1 will provide the person who submitted the original claim of infringement with a copy of the counter-notification and inform that person that Dafont1 may replace the removed material or cease disabling it in 10 business days. Unless the copyright owner files an action seeking a court order against the user, the removed material may be replaced or access to it restored within 10 to 14 business days or more after receipt of the counter-notification, at Dafont’s sole discretion.

Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Free Fonts has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at Dafont’s sole discretion, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. Dafont1 may also at its sole discretion limit access to the Service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

Modifications to Policy

Dafont1 reserves the right to modify this DMCA Policy at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on the Dafont website. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
